Hello, everyone, and welcome to another of my reviews. In this article, I’ll briefly review a pair of new strap offerings from the local strap label RSM Watch Strap.

Renowned for its premium fabric straps, RSM has steadily broadened its collection, adding canvas options alongside longstanding favourites like its silk and lizard straps. Building on this foundation, the brand has recently unveiled an Art Deco silk strap and an Italian Epsom leather strap—both of which were sent to me for review. Here’s how they measure up.

RSM Watch Strap – Luxury Art Deco Silk Strap

Let’s first start by taking a look at the luxury Art Deco silk strap.

This marks RSM’s second silk offering, and the brand has elevated the concept with a striking leaf motif said to be “inspired by Art Deco design”. The strap is produced by a dedicated silk specialist, crafted meticulously on a jacquard loom.

I chose to pair the silk strap with my Ming 17.09, a watch that itself carries a subtly Art Deco-inspired aesthetic. The strap’s blue hue echoes the dial’s tones beautifully, while its understated leaf motif complements the watch’s refined guilloché texture. The result is a distinctive yet elegantly restrained combination.

The watch comes fitted with a deployant clasp (instead of a tang buckle), which the brand says is meant to protect the precious silk material from strain. I appreciate the thought, but found the deployant clasp to be a tad stiff and bulky, which detracted from the wearing experience.

Once on the wrist, however, the strap proved undeniably striking. The silk material feels both unique and luxurious, but the true standout is the woven leaf motif—visually compelling without ever veering into ostentation. Instead, it provides a subtle, elegant complement to the watch. I can easily imagine it pairing beautifully with a dress piece like the JLC Reverso Tribute.

That said, its S$324 price tag sits on the higher end, reflecting both the use of premium silk and the intricacy of its handcrafted construction. Still, for those looking to give a luxury timepiece an added touch of distinction, RSM’s Art Deco silk strap is a compelling choice. It even comes in below the cost of standard calf leather straps from brands like JLC, underscoring its relative value.

RSM Watch Strap – Italian Epsom Leather Strap

Next, let’s take a look at the Italian Epsom Leather strap.

As its name implies, the strap is crafted from Epsom leather, one of the most sought-after leathers globally. Recognised for its signature textured finish and impressive scratch resistance, Epsom is favoured by many of the world’s leading luxury houses, including Hermès.

Although Epsom leather straps are common, white Epsom variants are surprisingly rare. I paired RSM’s white Epsom strap with my Kurono Toki and found its crisp, elegant tone to enhance the watch’s inherent Japanese refinement beautifully.

The pronounced Epsom texture and clean white hue evoke the look of far pricier Himalayan crocodile straps, creating a striking contrast against the Kurono Toki’s pink dial. I’ll admit my inspiration came from an Instagram post featuring the Toki on a Himalayan croc strap; I suspected RSM’s white Epsom would achieve a similar effect—and I’m pleased to say it does.

On the inside, the straps feature Zermatt leather—sweat-resistant, hypoallergenic, and exceptionally supple. It has become the benchmark for modern strap linings, rendering the stiff, cardboard-like linings of the past a distant memory. The straps also come with quick-release spring bars for easy interchangeability.

At S$114, RSM’s Italian Epsom leather strap delivers strong value—roughly 20% more affordable than comparable mainstream options. It’s an accessible yet impactful way to elevate mid-tier pieces such as the Kurono Toki, as well as classics like a vintage Rolex Datejust or a Grand Seiko.

Conclusion – so RSM Watch Strap 2025 “shiok” or not?

RSM’s latest collection offers something for every taste. For those seeking a distinctive, luxurious pairing for an equally exceptional timepiece, the Art Deco Silk strap is an ideal choice. Meanwhile, the Italian Epsom leather straps offer an accessible yet stylish option for those seeking quality leather at a more approachable price. Though catering to different audiences, both straps impress on the wrist with their eye-catching textures.

The Art Deco Silk strap is priced at S$324, while the Italian Epsom Leather strap retails for S$114. For this festive season, RSM is offering a promotion: customers who spend at least US$100 will receive a complimentary watch strap. If your order doesn’t reach US$100—perhaps you’re picking up just the Italian Epsom Leather strap—or if you’re reading this in 2026, you can still use the promo code ‘WAHSOSHIOK’ to enjoy 10% off. Please note that these offers cannot be combined.
