Hello everyone, and welcome to another of my reviews. In this article, I’ll review Delugs’ new Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp, which I paired with my recently acquired Tissot PRX 38mm Damascus.
Delugs just launched its new Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp, which is compatible with all versions of its popular CTS rubber straps, including its latest line for the 38mm Tissot PRX.
Delugs shares that the Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp took three years to develop. Created in collaboration with Fitwell—an industry specialist in micro-adjust buckles—the clasp went through three prototype iterations, with the final version subjected to 1,000 push–pull cycles to validate its long-term durability. For a deeper look into its development, you can refer to the video above featuring Ken, co-founder of Delugs.
I decided to try out the new Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp along with a CTS Rubber Strap for my Tissot PRX 38mm Damascus. Currently, Delugs is running a launch pricing of S$195 (MSRP S$214) for both the strap and clasp, with a free springbar tool included.
Alternatively, the Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp can be purchased separately and fitted to existing CTS straps, as it is fully backwards compatible. Delugs is currently offering the standalone clasp at launch pricing of $85 (down from an MSRP of $105).
While the new 38mm PRX sizing is a recent addition, the CTS strap itself remains unchanged. As such, it retains its premium tactile feel, with a reassuring thickness that wears comfortably on the wrist, complemented by a subtle mosaic pattern that adds visual interest. For more information, do read my previous review of Delugs’ CTS rubber straps here.
As for how to attach the new Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Strap, do watch Delugs’ instructional video above.
For those who are familiar with Delug’s CTS straps, the installation process is essentially the same. This means that the fit is perfect, with no gaps or overhang when attaching the strap.
On my new PRX 38mm Damascus, Delugs’ CTS strap fits flawlessly. While many strap brands promise a seamless, integrated look, Delugs genuinely delivers. This is especially impressive considering they are, to my knowledge, first to market with integrated straps for the 38mm Tissot PRX—beating even Tissot themselves—which means the fit had to be developed entirely in-house rather than adapted from existing solutions.
For those uninitiated with Delugs’ CTS straps, it’s named Cut-to-Size because it’s literally that – you cut the strap to your preferred size. This process is irreversible, which is why Delugs advises customers to proceed with caution before snipping off the strap.
A regular pair of scissors will do the job just fine – the rubber is thick, but not so thick that you need specialised tools.
After cutting the strap to your desired length, simply attach it to the Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp with the provided spring bar tool. In the shot above, you can clearly see the 3mm of extra space in the clasp allocated for micro-adjustment.
This addresses the main drawback of Delugs’ CTS straps previously—because they’re cut to size, there’s no room for adjustment. Unlike a traditional strap, you can’t simply shift a notch for a tighter or looser fit. That lack of flexibility matters since wrist size fluctuates throughout the day—expanding in Singapore’s tropical heat and contracting again in the comfort of an air-conditioned office.
The new Micro-Adjust Deployant Clasp solves that problem by allowing 3mm of adjustment in either direction with a simple tug or push. 3mm may not sound like much, but it makes a world of difference in terms of comfort. There are also small “humps”, which lock the adjustment in place with a satisfying click.
I’ve come across collectors who were hesitant to purchase a CTS strap from Delugs due to its lack of adjustability, concerned that the relatively pricey strap might become unwearable if their wrist size changed. The Micro-Adjust Deployant Clasp addresses this concern, introducing a welcome degree of flexibility. Delugs also notes that the adjustable clasp makes it possible for couples or even father and son to share a watch, provided their wrist sizes are reasonably similar.
Conclusion – so Delugs’ Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp “shiok” or not?
With the introduction of the Micro-Adjust Deployant Clasp, Delugs has effectively addressed the biggest drawback of its CTS strap lineup—the lack of adjustability. In practice, the added flexibility is genuinely useful, allowing for quick, incremental adjustments with nothing more than a simple push or pull. This refinement cements the CTS as one of the best rubber straps on the market, particularly for those seeking a clean, integrated look. The only sticking point is pricing.
The Micro-Adjust CTS Deployant Clasp retails for S$85 on its own (even at a discounted rate), while the strap-and-clasp bundle comes in at S$195. At first glance, that may feel steep for a clasp, but for context, a standard micro-adjust tang buckle from Fitwell already costs S$52. Seen in that light, a deployant clasp from Delugs—developed in partnership with Fitwell—carries a fairly reasonable premium. That said, I would recommend that you top up the additional S$110 for the full CTS strap and clasp combination.
