Hello everyone, and welcome to another of my reviews. In this article, I’ll review my experience at the Changi Lounge in Jewel Changi Airport.

Changi Lounge is the sole Priority Pass–accessible lounge at Jewel Changi and, notably, the only one located outside the airport terminals. Operated directly by Changi Airport Group rather than a third-party lounge operator, it occupies a rather unique position—one that naturally piqued my curiosity. Let’s see if it’s any good.

Changi Lounge – Review
Do note that Changi Lounge is located on the first floor of Jewel (i.e., the shopping area of Changi Airport), not in any of the airport terminals.

The main lounging area at Changi Lounge is generously sized—certainly larger than most terminal lounges—with an ample mix of sofas, armchairs, and dedicated work-friendly corners.

The dining area is considerably smaller, though it was still relatively empty when I visited around lunchtime.

Food is presented in a buffet-style spread, though variety was somewhat limited during my visit, with just three main options available alongside a self-cook laksa station.

However, there are some modern coffee machines, though I cannot attest to the taste (I claimed the free alcohol beverage instead).

There also weren’t any desserts provided, with the closest alternative being yoghurt and fruit.

On the plus side, all guests are entitled to a complimentary beer coupon, including Tiger Beer and craft options.

All beers are poured on tap, so you get that delicious, foamy taste. Most lounges do not have beer on tap, so this differentiates Changi Lounge from its terminal counterparts.

For my meal, I opted for the local staples on offer—fried rice, carrot cake, Hokkien mee, and steamed dory fish. The flavours were perfectly serviceable, though hardly memorable. Those watching their weight may also find the predominantly carb-heavy spread less appealing.

The laksa fares better, though it still falls short of what you’ll find in the SATS Premier lounges. That said, the fruity Lychee Amber beer was a surprisingly refreshing pairing, cutting neatly through the richness and spice of the broth. If you’re indulging in some last-minute local flavours before heading overseas for an extended stint, this will hit the spot.

Lastly, Changi Lounge offers three shower rooms, which must be reserved at the front desk for a 20-minute slot. When I enquired, the next available slot was only an hour and a half later—too close to my departure time—so I didn’t get the chance to try them out.
Changi Lounge is open from 6am to 10pm daily (kitchen and bar closes at 9pm).
